#1 RMS Lusitania
The sinking of the Lusitania by a German U-Boat off the coast of Ireland in May of 1915 is one of the events the helped bring the United States into World War I. The sinking of the Lusitania is generally considered to be the second most legendary passenger liner disaster after the RMS Titanic.
This original painting is based on pictures from the book The Lost Ships of Robert Ballard. The two extra pictures are provided just to show more detail of each part of this 18 inch by 24 inch painting.
This painting is the 1st in my Great Ships Before & After Series
This series will include the German battleship Bismarck, Graf Spree, the Andrea Doria, the Britannic, the Titanic, the USS Arizona and possibly others. The medium is acrylic paint withe an clear enamel top coat for protection on a stretch canvas. My paintings are numbered dated and signed on the back.
